Privacy Policy

EdgeLens is operated by Pycas Design Innovations, LLC.
What we collect
- Sign-in: your email and password are handled by Amazon Cognito. EdgeLens itself stores only an internal user id, your plan, and when you accepted these terms.
- Uploaded files: read in memory to extract closed trades, then discarded. Raw files are never written to disk, our database or file storage. File names are not stored.
- Trades we keep: instrument symbol, long/short, quantity, entry and exit time, and profit or loss per trade, plus, for options when your file includes them, the option type, expiration date, strike, and the cost and proceeds shown on your tax form, and the statistics calculated from them. We do not keep names, addresses, tax ID numbers, or account numbers, even if they appear in your file.
- Billing: Square processes payments. We store your Square customer and subscription ids and a one-way keyed hash of your verified email while a checkout is pending (deleted when matched, or after 7 days), to match your payment to your account.
- Support messages: if you use the contact form, we keep your message, the topic, and your sign-in email so we can reply, for up to 180 days (or until you delete your account). Messages are emailed to our support inbox through Amazon Simple Email Service.
- Technical logs: request times, status codes and error ids, kept 30 days. Logs do not contain file contents or trade data.
Website analytics
If you choose Accept on the cookie notice, our public pages (not your reports or any signed-in page) use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. Google receives your IP address, browser details and the public page you viewed; advertising features and Google signals are turned off. If you choose Decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can change your choice anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
How we use it
Only to produce your reports, run the service, prevent abuse, and bill paid plans. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Share cards
Share-card images are created in your browser. They are not uploaded to or stored by EdgeLens.
AI summaries
If enabled, a plain-language summary is generated by a model hosted in our AWS account (Amazon Bedrock). It receives only aggregate statistics, never your files or personal details.
AI help assistant
If you use Ask EdgeLens, your question and the recent conversation, plus aggregate statistics from the report you're viewing (totals, rates, habit and pattern summaries, never your file or individual trade rows), are sent to a model hosted in our AWS account (Amazon Bedrock) to produce an answer. We don't store your questions or the answers; we keep only a count of questions for daily limits, deleted after 2 days. AI answers can be wrong, and the assistant does not give investment, tax, or legal advice.
Deleting your data
Delete any report at any time. "Delete my account and data" permanently removes your sign-in, reports and trades immediately. Encrypted backups expire within 7 days. Cancel paid subscriptions through Square.
Security
Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, multi-factor sign-in available, least-privilege access, and no storage of raw uploads. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you of a breach affecting your data as the law requires.
Children
EdgeLens is not for anyone under 18.
