How to export your trade history

EdgeLens reads three kinds of files. Menu names change between platform versions, so use these as a guide and look for an export or download option near your trade list.

NinjaTrader and Tradovate

From the web or mobile account area

Open your account's Performance view, choose the date range and instrument, and download the trade list as a CSV file.

What EdgeLens reads from it

Each row pairs a buy and a sell fill: quantity, prices, P&L and the two timestamps. EdgeLens works out long or short from which side came first.

E*TRADE 1099-B (PDF)

Where to find it

In your E*TRADE account, go to Documents and open your tax documents to download the consolidated 1099 PDF.

What to expect

Dates, not times

A 1099-B lists dates acquired and sold but not times, so holding periods are measured in days.

Section 1256 options

Realized index options reported under Section 1256 (for example SPX) are read as well.

Any other broker: the template CSV

Put one closed trade per row with these columns:

Column notes

side is long or short. pnl is the net result in US dollars for the whole trade. Times use the format 2026-02-05 09:30:00.
